For the Clickinmoms (affiliate link, thanks!) Project 52 assignment this week we were told to show what we’ve been up to. This open-endedness is perfect for me right now as I continue to take a break from photography. To show what I’ve been up to, instead of a photograph, I have a screen shot. This Photoshop project is still in progress. I’m skimming through the Supernatural episodes, recording all the places Dean and Sam visit on a map. Because I love geography. It’s going to be a 12×12 scrapbook page. Each season is a different color.
I haven’t completely avoided picking up my camera though. I doubt I’ll ever put down my camera for good. I’ve loved recording my life in pictures since I was a kid. As I type this on Wednesday night, I still have 47 photos from July 4 waiting to be processed. But I’ve already processed Wednesday night’s karaoke pictures. Of course I only made 2 photos and several videos, and I have stopped editing videos because I was having trouble uploading them to Smugmug, so it was quick.
I’m happy to see that despite my break from photography, I’m not forgetting my skills. Bella Cafe is a challenging place to shoot, too, because it’s dark, with flashing colored lights. Also, my best editing time is not at 10 p.m.!
The first photo is a still photograph. The second one is a capture from a video.
We’re still trying to keep our Project 52 blog circle going! Continue around the circle to see more great photos. Next is Trish at Autumn Leaves Photography.
